Shared speeds means the maximum speed you may be experiencing. This is not a minimum or average guaranteed speed one should expect. However, as and when applicable you will be experiencing speeds of up to that speed. Your speed varies from plan to plan, and the time of the day. ‘Night’ speed refers to off-peak traffic speed and may occasionally include the entire day on weekends and holidays.
NB: Internet Speed as a standard is measured in Kbps or Mbps (bits per second). Dividing that by 8 gives you your KB/s or MB/s respectively (which is often the measure shown on your applications and web browsing applications).
Most locations can be connected and suffice with a wireless connection. The cost of a wireless receiver starts from $120 onwards. Only after a survey can our technical team determine the type of wireless receiver you may require. This receiver is ideally placed on a balcony or on your rooftop and connects a cable to provide you with connectivity. This receiver is not a wireless router and will not provide WiFi signal for you to use wireless. For wireless connectivity you need to connect to a wireless router. Your existing wireless router or for that matter any wireless router can connect to our devices. If you need to purchase a wireless router please contact our Sales Team. Some plans enjoy free lease of such wireless devices subject to a credit and lease agreement approval. Free lease are only provided for the primary sites and not for the additional sites one may opt to share across multiple locations.
This is an administrative cost of creating your account and connecting your premises. While such fees may also cover reasonable installation costs (cable and mounting the device), it is not a fee subject to cabling/wiring requirements and is applicable to all users whose plan attract the setup fees.
Some plans can be shared across multiple locations. This is ideal for branches, warehouses, or Director’s/Owner’s homes. Such plans are for when both locations are not expected to have high demand of internet applications at the same time or where the usage complements each other. Having an additional plan allows you to use the same plan across more than one locations. While doing so has its benefit, it is important to bear in mind that usage of one location may alter the usage experience of the shared location. All additional Sites are subject to a connection fee and Device Cost irrespective of the primary account/plan it is going to be sharing.
All our accounts are assigned a Public IP. This is a dynamic IP that is reset and changes every time the connection is established. We do offer static public IP’s which is suitable for servers, CCTV DVR’s and/or other applications that require some sort of remote access. Please check the plans page to compare plans and see if your plan offers a Static IP.
